How To Influence Each Brain Type

In the same way as our bodies differ, we also have a brain that differs. Yet it turns out that when you do brain scans, there are nine different categories of brain types. To bring about big positive changes in people, we use the learning capacity of the brain. However, how people learn, deal with their emotions and what motivates them all depends on what brain type someone has. You can only positively influence people most effectively if you take their brain type into account.

For that reason, I will soon be giving ten webinars on the topic “How to influence each brain type”. The first webinar is a general introduction to what a brain type is. Then each subsequent webinar will be about one of the nine brain types so that you learn exactly the following for each brain type:

  • How to estimate which brain type someone has based on their appearance, behavior and the way they speak.
  • How to get confirmation that your initial guess is correct using casual test questions.
  • How you can best influence someone given their brain type.
  • How to use what motivates each brain type to make the lasting change.

Webinar Evolutionary Learning

Evolutionary learning is actually not the right name for the subject. Because evolution is too slow to bring about a change during your life. But that in no way means that evolution does not play a major role in our lives. Our brain is in fact formed by evolution. In both associative and instrumental learning , we assume that we learn from our environment. But both assume that we are born with a blank learning machine. Only nothing blanks arise from evolution. This means that there can be no question of a blank learning machine. Instead, our brain has already been formed by evolution.

You can see this in our evolutionary behavioral patterns. Cybernetic Big Five Theory (CB5T) shows exactly how the biological structure of our brain influences our emotions, our motivation and our learning. Without knowledge of this structure, it becomes a lot more difficult to bring about major changes in people. When you know the CB5T structure, it becomes easier to influence someone because you know what motivates them, how they learn and how they deal with their emotions.

So while you cannot influence the biological structure of your brain, knowledge of it is very important for influencing other people. With CB5T you are able to connect exactly to the way the other person experiences the world. Without this it means that you have to become the same as the other. CB5T shows that this is unwise because you try to behave in such a way that does not suit your brain. Instead, with CB5T you can understand why other people are different and how valuable it is that we differ from each other.

Webinar Top 3 hypnotic language patterns

We communicate because our brain learns words as associations. Associative or Pavlovian learning is one of the four ways the brain learns. If you want to make big changes, it is very important that you formulate well what you say and write. Because many people mean well, but formulate so badly that they actually achieve the opposite of their intention

Pavlov himself said in 1928 that if you want to achieve in humans what he accomplished with dogs, then you have to work with hypnosis. Now it is not immediately the intention to put everyone in a hypnotic trance before you try to make a big change. Not only does that often take too much time, but it also stands out! Fortunately, there is also a broad definition of hypnosis and that definition is:

Hypnosis is to convince people to participate in your script.

Or to put it more business-wise: hypnosis is getting people to follow your reasonings. Almost all hypnosis is done with hypnotic language patterns. These language patterns are indispensable for formal hypnosis, but also work very well when you want to get people to follow your reasonings. If you want to make big changes in other people, the use of hypnotic language patterns is the only way to achieve that to the greatest extent possible.

Webinar Instrumental Learning

Instrumental learning is one of the four ways in which the brain learns in addition to imprinting, associative learning and evolutionary learning. Whereas in associative learning the brain establishes a probability relationship between two different sensory impressions, in instrumental learning the brain establishes a probability relationship between our behavior and what our behavior yields. 

Our opinions are largely determined by the associations we build. What we do is largely determined by what our behavior yields to us. In other words, our behavior is mainly determined by instrumental learning. If you want to influence someone’s behavior, you must use instrumental learning.

Yet for most people, instrumental learning is completely unknown. Instrumental learning works on the basis of the ABC model. In this model, the A stands for Antecedents. Antecedents is all that precedes behavior or what is necessary to enable behavior. The B stands for Behavior. The C stands for Consequences. Consequences are everything that happens after the behavior has taken place. 

Almost all ways of influencing people use Antecedents. While research has clearly shown that our behavior is mainly influenced by Consequences.
